Second Tournament
Hi,
I'm going to setup a second "test" tournament to start at the end of next week 20th/21st August with 7 day gameweeks.
I'll change the settings around Bye points and turns required before moderation of points and also the map lineup.
In the current version of the game, there are two maps we haven't used yet that have Tournament Support:
- Sandstorm at the Oasis
- Wake Island Assault
So I'll be including these for testing. I'd like to include a third map too, I'm thinking Two Bridges as everyone generally gets points from that one (and it's usually over in 15 turns, which is good for these shorter game week test.
We'll let everyone know when it's open for sign up!

Re: Second Tournament
That didn't take long!
I definitely get why big maps such as the kind I prefer are problematic in tournaments, but I still think it would be cool to include The Russian Campaign one of these days. Like in a masochist-only tournament for example, heh...

Hay Shards,
Sorry to do this to you but could you de-enlist me from the second tournament?
My new fly rod just came in and the redfish are biting. I won't have time to provide my opponents with good matches.
thanks!

@conboy, you resign from the tournament from the website, there should be a Leave button where the Join button would be
Re: Second Tournament
It seems that the tournie login does not like that I used the Chrome-saved login details (which works in the forums etc)
I cleared and logged in from scratch and I'm finally in

Re: Second Tournament
So I have a dumb question. This is my first multiplayer game. Can someone point me to information about how to do my turns, and generally how things work in the game? I have logged in the multiplayer tab of the game and see my match, but I am not sure what to do from there.

Re: Second Tournament
There are two tournament match in "My Match" and they look the same as each other, what happened?

Re: Second Tournament
Tournament games are played as Paired Games. So each round is two matches against the same player, with you playing as one side in one game, and the other side in the second.weizhinaihe wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 1:26 pm There are two tournament match in "My Match" and they look the same as each other, what happened?
So, for Sandstorm (the first round's map), you're British in one game and Germans/Italians in the other.
You play and score points for both games.

The games with the green soldier head are currently your turn. Select one and click "Launch" in the bottom-right to load it up.
You'll get an intro to the scenario and may have to click play to review the replay of your opponents last turn (at the moment, that's won't be much
Each of the maps in these tournaments start with a Deployment Phase as your first turn. My advice is to read the introduction and ensure that you review the objectives (you win by earning VP from achieving objectives). Then take a look at the map and purchase your forces (remember, if you're playing as the Germans/Italians, that you are buying forces for BOTH nations).
When you're happy, End Turn and the system will upload the game to the server and tell your opponent that it's their turn. You'll get an email from the system when the turns have been passed back to you.
Thanks
Re: Second Tournament

Re: Second Tournament
Welcome to the tournament. I takes some guts to sign up if you have little OOB-experience
Re: Second Tournament
New to these tourneys. I have a question: If you lose a unit during play does that free up points to replace that unit? (I know, unintentional play on words "unitlost")

unitlost --
Usually. It frees up the CPs but sometimes the game doesn't let you buy more if the scenario is set up that way.
Check your dead file (casket in the forces view) and see if you can revive one. There's a flat line button you can hit. Mouse over it and it'll tell you how much it'll cost to revive it.
I shoulda signed up for this one! It's raining all the time here...

Re: Second Tournament
Hi
