Custom single mini-campaign : Normandie-Niémen

Hello everybody,

Normandie-Niemen (1943-1945)

Description :

- A campaign of 10 missions.
- The true story of 16 french pilots on the Eastern Front: the "Normandie-Niemen" Squadron. Revive the true life of the 16 first pilots, all volontaries but 5 only will survive.. Will you do better than history?

Some precisions:

- u need the BLITZKRIEG DLC ! (for the german planes )
- The level of difficulty must be in "captain" (else it is too hard or too easy)
- You can play in french or english version.
- There is always a way to achieve secondary goals to get the major victory.
- no unit purchase. Only 16 air units. No ground units except one mission .
-The purpose of this campaign is to survive! You have only 16 pilots in all, you have to avoid sending to the death the pilots otherwise you will not go far in the campaign. Some non-core units ( who have a proper name) are definitely lost if they are killed during a mission! If they are killed, they will not be present in the next mission , so take care of them too ! (you will have a warning window that you have lost some good pilots each time you lose a non-core or a core unit.)
- You need to get the Normandie MOD made by TERMINATOR (thanks to him!) : HEROES OF WORLD WAR II to get the commanders and avatars pictures : http://www.mediafire.com/file/2rna8iej3 ... .01%29.zip
MOD INSTALL : unzip file then copy the directory mod in C:\Users\ YOUR NAME \Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2 \Mods\

ps: CAMPAIGN INSTALL : unzip the file and copy the directory in C:\Users\ YOUR NAME \Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2\Campaigns\ and in the game : click on the MOD "HEROES" then "single player" then "custom content" and select with arrow...

Hi jeff,
Satisfied that you finished this campaign (many people begin scenarios and do not end them).
I quickly made out a will and I have a first remark about the presentation : the images must be resized in 512 x 415 otherwise it have not very attractive.
For it I use paint.net (Completely free and with a very useful magic wand ("baguette magique").
I also find that it makes good to put a countour in black.

Hey jeff00t, I am wondering if you and this campaign are still active? I am speaking as a forum moderator and as a custom designer.

Forum moderator: Most of the links in your OP are broken; only the Mediafire links still work. The forum says you have not been active in over two years, which is a bad sign. I hope we have not lost you. In that case, we should assume your campaign is defunct. I imagine that it needs work since the game has changed and your campaign is based on a mod.

Custom designer: I am planning a Normandie-niémen scenario in my Free France campaign. As a courtesy, I was going to reach out to you in order to assure you that I would not be duplicating your work; for one thing, mine is a scenario, yours is a campaign. However, I was also planning to ask if I could reuse some of the pics that you included.

I will give you a few weeks to drop by and hopefully notice this thread (I also sent you a PM). If, at that point, there has been no response from you, I will ask to have your post removed from the Custom Campaigns thread. You can always ask to have your campaign re-posted, with refreshed links, if you wish.

jeff00t, thanks for your "I am still active" message. Good news! Now would be a good time to clean up your OP for dead links. From what I can gather, all you need are the still-working Mediafire links anyway. Please edit accordingly. Then whether your campaign/mod needs updating for the current OOB version will be up to you and your clientele.

Your france campaign look great! Normandie niemen is a campaign with only planes so i don't think there will be some similar missions.

You can use all photos or maps of my campaign and also the heroes mod made by Terminator if you need.

Jeff, I am glad you are still around. Know that my Normandie-Niémen (scenario) will be a pale facsimile of your Normandie-Niémen (campaign). I appreciate that you will not mind if I "borrow" an image or two. My map will be original, along with the workings.

Oh, I just realized what happened, that you are a different "alias" now. That's fine, and it explains why my original PM is undelivered; you sent me your own original PM.
