Onslaught on console

On the console version onslaught is a menu item and only has the "curse" mission available, which is great but I thought there was a bigger mode specifically for onslaught ?

On some YouTube videos of pc players they had a different option for onslaught

Onslaught is a game mode, The Curse is a free Onslaught campaign in the base game. Do you own the Onslaught DLC (no idea how are they selling FG2 on console, sorry)? That DLC should add an Amulet of Power campaign that belongs to Onslaught mode, which I guess is what you have seen.

It is a bit weird to release the game after the dlc has been released and not include it. Especially as it has its own menu category called onslaught but not the dlc.

I've run through the curse mission with all hereoes to see if it unlocks the amulet of power but it doesnt. Can any devs shed any light on what the intention is for onslaught, is it supposed to be there or maybe planned for future release ?

It's such a cool game and there's not many tactical strategy games on console so this really shines.

Before they add the Curse campaign (though called a "prologue", this one is actually after Amulet of Power and the newest campaign currently), I think there is no Onslaught option in the base game if you don't own the Onslaught DLC. May I ask how is FG2 sold in the console shop? Is Onslaught seperated from the base FG2?

Some timeline(PC ver.):
FG2 base version: Invasion campaign and the preque Tale of Falir campaign in Hero and General Edition.
Onslaught DLC: Amulet of Power campaign and the Onslaught mode.
Prologue (free update for the base game): The Curse campaign, in Onslaught mode.
Console version released

You see, they have to add Onslaught mode to the base version to provide an entry for the Prologue update, so even if you don't have Onslaught DLC, you can have the Onslaught mode. I myself purchased the General Edition and joined the Onslaught beta, so I'm not sure how is the base version look like after the release of Onslaught. Maybe the devs will talk about this later.

Onslaught the DLC is not yet available, Onlsaught the Game Mode exists with the "teaser" campaign of "The Curse".
Onslaught is likely to appear alongside Empire Aflame for Console, as we need to pass submissions etc. and will try to streamline the process.

Thanks for the update.

The console platform doesn't get many good tactical strategy games so it's great to see an excellent one. I've played through on normal and enjoyed every minute and it's the harder dicculties next. I'm really hoping this is successful on console and we can see the dlc coming in the future.

Glad to know DLCs will be on console, i do really like the console version for FG2 it is an excellent port.
