Re: Red Steel
Best to post this in the beta forum, much as I'd like to know all about it

Re: Red Steel
Hi, best is to click the blue ? next to the objective in the turn overview, it usually gives more details.
In this case you are required to deploy/land 3 core infantry to the beachhead in the beginning. Not doing it is considered insubordination and leads to a quick end...

Re: Red Steel
Why has this been moved to the beta forum? Red steel is released?

Re: Red Steel
Sorry, that was my error. I read it as "Red Storm" for some reason. (Hmmm. I had a little help from Brenmusik in that regard, I believe.

[Three wandering threads now merged into one and properly placed in the general forum.]

Re: Red Steel
Anyway, since I goofed up the thread, I might as well try to answer the original question!
Ungika, the mission is to "Land 3 infantry-type core units to support the Stanichka landing. They need to arrive within the marked perimeter in 3 turns." Before Turn 4, you need to have 3 core infantry units landed in the hexes within this green arc:
Where do they come from? At some point previously in the campaign, you must have purchased at least three infantry units that are now part of your core. You are supposed to deploy them here at the the beginning of the scenario:
When you land all three of them, by Turn 3, then you get the prize of +10 supply to the landing zone. Note that the infantry unit that is already in the landing zone does not count toward the objective because it is not a core unit. (It is an auxiliary unit that the designer provided for you.)
The +10 supply is beneficial for gameplay, of course, but the most important thing is that, if you fail this objective by not completing it by Turn 4, the best that you can do is a DRAW. The designer is quite strict in this regard in that a DRAW in this scenario leads to Campaign Defeat.

Thanks for the help!
It was a mistake to put tanks on the landing ships, not soldiers.

Re: Red Steel
Glad we could help. Yes, to his credit, the designer does state "infantry-type core units" in the mission description. The objective trigger that he uses definitely requires infantry, not armor.
