Yesterday we released an update for Order of Battle, introducing the Slitherine Tournament system to the game.
Players who are familiar with Field of Glory II or Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach will know what this system is: it is a system through which Slitherine can set up fully automated tournaments.
All you need to do is sign up, then the system will pair you with opponents and create your PBEM games. You will be notified by mail of when the tournament is starting, and when it will be time to play your turns.
We are now ready to start our first tournament ever for Order of Battle. It is a Beta tournament, so there might be bugs. If you encounter any, please let us know and we will address them.
The Tournament will begin on Monday 27, and it will last 3 rounds, each lasting one week. You can sign up here. The tournament follows Swiss Tournament rules: you can find the full list of rules here.
Please note that even though Order of Battle: World War II is a free-to-play game, you will need to own at least one DLC to be able to play multiplayer and to join the tournament.

Re: Order of Battle - Join the Beta Tournament
The tournament should show "Leave" rather than "Join" on the website?
You'll get an email when the tournament starts and when each round begins.

I'm in! So cool an idea for such a great game that so many folks are unaware of. I am playing PC2 and the excellent (and much improved) SM: Blitzkrieg, but both have stolen ideas from OoB and none are quite as visceral, intense, immersive and challenging. (but they have better graphics, so that's probably it).
