I like the 88, with veteran AA it shreds enemy air but also decimates enemy armor, especially useful in the early years when German tanks could be a bit lacking.

Nationalist infantry

others:
Fiat CR.32 fighter - cheap but decent, useful in most scenarios
Vardeja tank with some powerful commander
Trubia tank against soft targets
captured armored cars
Henschel Hs 123 and Ju 87A
Breda Ba.65 tac bomber against tanks

In the main game, it's probably the Elephant. I got an early Elephant prototype in my last campaign, so I switched around a tank that had Steamroller to the Elephant. Once I got it, enemy armor turned to mush, and kept turning to mush all the way to America.

In the Spanish Civil War, I'd probably say the Ju-87. The dive bombers were indispensable throughout the campaign. They got used so much that 2 of my 3 Attack "Staffels" got level 1 bonuses for both Tanks and Infantry before the end of the campaign. I'd love to say the 109's too, but they come into the campaign very late, even if they are your only completely superior fighter unit.

The Panzer IB isn't too bad, either. At the end of my last campaign all of my Panzer I's were right behind the air units for best K:D ratios. The only ground units that had slightly better ratios were a Recon (SdKfz 222) and a Breda that both had Overrun.

Chevy-WB. It does things no other unit does.

In the SCW then Vickers AA guns. Means i dont need 88s.

Since my victory at berlin, clearly the "maus". It felt like a battlemech ag. ww2 tanks, it was a slaughter.

The only problem: it has not enough ammo to kill so many units per turn.

Realistically the maus should be much slower, if you think about the enormous engine problems, this colossus had.
And it shouldnt be capable of using bridges because it couldnt because of its weight. I didnt test it, but using a transport train should be impossible too, with the mouse. Its too big for most tunnels. BTW: I dont have the screenshot, but sometimes rails over a hill look really stupid. A little tunnel hex would look much better.
