Hi!
I've got some questions for the mod from Potzblitz!
I've played the Vanilla Version of Commander The Great War man times with full success, but the mod from Potzblitz hits me very hard.
Is there anyone who can give me some tips to win with the central powers?
What can i use the zeppelins for?
Greetings!

Re: Questions for Potzblitz' Mod
Hi Ente, I'm the creator of the mod so feel free to ask me anything.
Zeppelins are mainly for scouting because of their great Line Of Sight stat.
Once they've been upgraded with enough techs in 1915-1916 they are also mildly useful for bombing small enemy cities, not enemy units.
You said you have trouble with playing the Central Powers, well that's a bit imprecise. What exactly are you struggling with? Attacking France? defending from the Russians?
Greets.

Re: Questions for Potzblitz' Mod
Hi Robotron,
I do not really understand the problem with artillery and gas. The first who uses it, will be punished?
How is the north sea sealed off or how is it liberated?
When did I win? Should i accept surrenders? I finally accepted England's surrender, but then I had a lot of units left in the wrong place to continue fighting.
What do I get collapse points for? How do i reduce collapse points?
Thank you very much for an answer!

Re: Questions for Potzblitz' Mod
First of all you need the most recent version of the mod which is V10.41:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AW4EF5 ... SLvQb/view
There is a PDF manual included. Try to at least quick-read the first 25 pages for some basic information about new features.
1.
Blockade: North Sea is sealed by the Entente playing the "British Blockade" event. After a few turns the blockade is completed. The blockade can be broken by Germany by having more warships in the North Sea than Britain, which is impossible to achieve without first sinking a few British Dreadnoughts or Battlecruisers. Also having a lot of German submarines hunting for British convoys in the Atlantic helps breaking the blockade.
2.
Surrenders: usually it is good to accept a surrender. Accepting a surrender means you can't attack that nation again for the rest of the game, which can become a problem if the surrendering nation still owns important hexes that you will need later, for example the train connection going from Serbia to Turkey. If you deny the surrender offer the nation will ask again in a few turns.
3.
Winning: You win if every major nation of the enemy alliance has surrendered or suffered 10 or more collapse points. Entente major nations are France, Britain and Russia. CP majors are Germany and Austria. Defeating Italy or Turkey is not mandatory but helpful.
4.
Collapse points: there is a big list in the PDF manual that is included in the download. See pages 2 to 5 for a detailed list.
5.
Poison gas: The first alliance to use poison gas will be penalized by all neutral nations becoming friendlier to the other alliance that did not yet use poison gas. This could even lead to neutral nations joining that other alliance.
I hope all this makes some sense to you.
