Deeter
Are the Seleucids actually winning in any Divisions ?

The record of the army in FoG2 is not exceptional by any means so a "powerhouse" is not likely.
Seleucids are just an example. Besides, now that I'm back that could change.

You may buy all types on your list like the Seleucids but you will still encounter the issue of not having enough points if you begin maxing out on particular unit types.
I didn't know that. Thanks. I've only just gotten FOG II and haven't had much time with it.

Division C for Courage

Barrold713 (Syracusans) defeats SawyerK (Egyptians) 50-24

What a map...pretty much unsuited for both sides troops this was an ungainly slugging match over difficult terrain and an unhelpful stream. I managed to weigh my left enough to win the melee with my armored and citizen hoplites. The middle and right held just enough to get the points for victory. Good game.

Ludendorf (Hannibal in Africa 202BC) beat herm (Seleucid 302-301 with Lysimachid 320-281 BC allies) 43-25%. (That is eerily close to SnuggleBunnies result!), herm surrendered.

Division A

Triarii - Jewish (64BC-6AD) with Roman (105BC-25BC) allies beats harveylh - Ptolemaic 55-30 BC with Roman 105-25 BC allies 44-18

Fortunately the Ptolemaic force while advancing aggressively got caught up across a stream bed by the quality Jewish troops. This made the percentages work for the Jewish force in the largely head on fighting that ensued.

Division C

GDod - (Byzantine 551-578 AD) beat Swuul - (Germanic/Gothic Horse Tribes 260-492 AD with Dacian, Carpi 107-380 AD allies) 43-8%

A game of parking cavalry in front of the Warbands while the Warbands did all the hard work charging and disordering themselves. At the same time, the dismounted lancers polished off a couple more and the cavalry and lights worked around the flanks. Thanks for the game Swuul.

Division A

Triarii – Arab, Bedouin 300-636 AD with Byzantine 579-599 AD allies beats rbodleyscott - German Horse Tribes 260-492 AD with Dacian, Carpi 107-380 AD allies 63-51

A game of two halves - The Bedouin romped to an early advantage with the Germanic Tribes caught in a small valley between two hills with lancers in front, on both flanks and eventually behind reaching something like 12-34. However then the grind started. The light Bedouin lancers crumbled in the one to ones with German Noble lancers and dissolved in front of the warbands and falxmen moving back and forth in an inspired defence. Fortunately there were just enough spare units to keep outflanking and despite nearly snatching a draw from the jaws of victory, eventually, the Bedouin prevailed. A very good game - many thanks.
