I've been given a decision to send A Periplus to distant Dioscoridis. I see no way to get there. If I'm correct this makes no sense to me. Any thoughts about that decision are welcome.

Some of them are just distant ...

I've taken an army and marched there in a few instances, but some are just too distant.
Being allied with Egypt is a great help in reaching the south ones, the eastern ones are nearly only accessable with as Persia and steppe nations etc.
Some naval ones can be done if your willing to lose a ship or two.

Would be nice to be able to haggle for peace treaties. Then you could cross their lands for the duration of the peace.
