Division F
kraff (Sassanid Persian 591-628 AD) defeated random27 (German 933-1049 AD with French 888-1049 AD allies) 60 - 44
Another close one! War elephants again proved their value. The Sassanids went to battle nonchalantly and almost lost. Fortunately for them, Franco-German dismounted armoured lancers, who fought valiantly and stubbornly, broke their ranks at the very last suitable moment.
Shah Husraw II is very pleased with performance of his beloved troops, but the public opinion is appalled by the losses sustained in this battle and the previous one, during the Irish expedition, and demands firing of both gund-salars leading those two armies. King's administration released a statement assuring necessary reforms will be implemented to avoid future losses of this magnitude.
Thank you for the battle, random27, it was tough challenge.

Division C
Swuul (Samnite 355-272 BC with Etruscan 330-280 BC allies) beat devoncop (Etruscan 330 – 280 BC with Samnite 355-272 BC allies) 63-52
Basically a mirror match which was played a billiard board (ok, there were a couple low hills), that saw some pretty insane swings of luck. Just the other day I mentioned I have never seen four of my units rally in a game, well now I have. I have also never seen two veteran samnites double-drop when they had 5% and respectively 3% to lose their charge. I was about to go to bed crying to sleep when my both my flanks collapsed after the two Veteran Samnites thus Fragmented and then routed, and then on my left flank my four cavalries lost their duel with three opponent cavalries. Then my right flank did not collapse, as a bloody stubborn regular samnite infantry held alone the corner of the right flank, and the Etruscans just couldn't get whack them out. In center my samnites together with the few heavy infantries I had ran over the Etruscans, and I sent a samnite to help the lone star on my right flank, while the rest turned to left to face the incoming onslaught. And what do you know, the lone star held to the end of the game, and the one infantry sent to their help rear charged the Etruscans, who decided to leg off (and my javelin men escorted them to the map edge, as they were still in good health and could have easily rallied). When it started to look the game was over, three of my routed units rallied, which gave me a breathing room. The fighting got terrible, and in the end practically all units on the field were *this* close to autobreak. I was luckier, and on the last round an Etruscan imitation legion had enough and autorouted, taking the score above 60, leaving etruscan cavalry and javelin-men an inch short from charging two of my recently rallied (and thus still Fragmented) units near to my edge of the map. To add some salt to the injury, one more broken Samnite javelinman rallied in the final moments.
Thank you for the match deconcop, you are one heck of a nice fellow to play with

edb1815 - Thracian Hellenistic 350-281 BC with Antigonid 320-301 BC allies defeated GDod - Seleucid 302-301 BC with Lysimachid 320 BC allies 71% - 34%
The Thracian army won the cavalry battle and held off the stronger pikes of the Seleucids long enough for the massed peltasts to swarm around the Seleucid flank. Lots of pikes rallied from rout in this game and the Thracians were fortunate that their elephant also rallied and came back to hit a pike block in the rear. Well played thanks for the game.
