Game resolution - help needed

Cant get game to run full screen on 22 inch monitor has black bands down the side and graphics blurry my screen normally runs at 1680x1050 look terrible - any patches config file I can alter.

The game only runs at 1024x768 so you can run in a window from the options or full screen but these are the only choices I'm afraid
