edb1815 (Egyptian 570-525 BC with Kyrenean Greek allies) defeats devoncop (Cimmerian 750-600 BC with Thracian allies) 64% - 50%
A tale of two battles as a small hill divided the field and assisted the Egyptian archers. On one flank the Egyptian chariots were roughly handled by the Cimmerian cavalry and swarms of light horse and on the other the allied Greek armored hoplites won the day for the Egyptians. A hard fought swirling battle well played by my opponent a point well deserved.
Morbio (Roman 105-25 BC with Numidian/Moorish 55 BC-6 AD allies) beat harveylh (Ptolemaic 55-30 BC with Roman 105-25 BC allies) 65 - 42
My thanks to my opponent for a challenge that was up and down, I think we both had the lead at various stages and it was only the last couple of turns when the Ptolemaic forces collapsed... phew!
Well played by my opponent. Despite the superiority of the Romanized Legionaries and Cataphracts the Palmyrians were overwhelmed by hordes of medium foot (Brythonic foot). There was a large wood on the right flank from which a wing of foot ambushed after the armies had engaged. The Breton foot managed to avoid the legionnaires and targeted the Palmyrian archers from front and flank. Several Cataphracts got isolated and taken out by the Breton lancers as well. Thanks for the game.
DanZanzibar - Carthaginian 235-146 BC with Spanish 300-10 BC allies beat Tratmot – Carthaginian, Hannibal in Africa 202 BC 52-19
My opponent got a bit unlucky when the centre holding force fell apart rather quickly due to a case of flank/flank/chain route. I don't doubt we will have another good match in our other division. Thanks for the game Tratmot!

Blagrot - Andalusian 756-1049 AD Beat wmpryor - Ghaznavid 962-1189 AD 66% - 56%
Both of us won one flank pretty readily but then it became a brutal slugging match between a couple of punch-drunk remnants of the armies, eventually my archers shot enough cavalry into auto-breaking to give me the win. Closest game of FOG I've played so thank you very much Wmpryor
grumpydaddy845 - Arab, Conquest 638-684 AD beat Doyley50 - Anglo-Danish 1017-1041 AD 62% - 53%
The Anglo-Danish warriors, although better lead, fell short of victory as the determined Arab Spearmen held on to eventually rally, and win the day.
Mistakes on my end and great play by Doyley50 quickly put him ahead and it was only the strength of the Arab Conquest (and a few late flanking charges) that allowed me to pull out the win.
