Multiple Program Installations?

Post by terminator »

Is it recommended to do a new installation after the last updates?

On my hard drive, I feel like I have 3 different installations:

You must have a double installation.

I use steam and I have one folder "Order of Battle Pacific" which has 7 subfolders, the executable and some more files. In this subfolder I have "Order of Battle - Pacific_Data" and "Order of Battle - WW2_Data".
Total install size is 2.61 GB

Before, you had in fact two installations of the same game, a 32 and a 64-bit version. That was changed with one of the recent updates to include the 64bit version only. And yeah, some base folders were moved/renamed.

There may be some "left over" installation files indeed, that you could delete from your hard drive. I have a steam installation and steam deleted and moved the folders automatically.

My advice: Remember the target directory of your current OoB-link on your desktop (that the one you need) and delete the other two folders. And make backups if you've some modded files in the game.
