Re: How to issue a challenge . . .
Pete:
When I try to issue a challenge to others in my division the "create skirmish" does not allow me to match up the armies. I can select my army and then when I select my opponents army
it just switches my original selection back to "pot luck". Am I missing something? I tried FOG2 default module and the TT Mod with the same results. What have I done wrong?

Re: Any questions . . .
Pete: I am having trouble creating matches for some of my opponents. Some of the army lists allocated to my opponents don't show up when
I attempt to create a new challenge. I have TT Mod 1.5.28 installed. Any idea why this might be occurring?

Division B
devoncop (Cimmerian with Thracian allies) beat Swuul (Spartan 550BC with Corinthian allies) by 53% to 28%.
A game that swung both ways for a number of turns that was saved for the Cimmerians by some rough terrain and their mobility in the end game.
Thanks to my opponent.

Division D
Swuul British 600-1030 AD with Viking 780-899 AD allies beat Rob123 Sassanid Persian 591-628 AD with Arab, Bedouin 300-636 AD allies 40-9
Perhaps intimidated by the mass of british and viking troops on the field (44 units in all) the high quality persian and arab army chose to wait for the moment to strike. The british light archers were gunning for the elephants, who stayed behind the sassanid heavy infantry, and this allowed the british troops to safely move into assault positions. On the british left the few british and viking cavalry were able to tie down the persian cavalry, on the right flank the raw shieldwalls with a couple defensive shieldwalls were able to hold the rest of the persian cavalry in check (including the fearsome cataphracts). Thus when the british launched the attack on the center the persians were outnumbered by more than 2 to 1, and the persians were swarmed from all directions without their cavalry being able to come to rescue. Despite taking some beating (the sassanid heavy infantry is tough), there was really no way the british swarmers could have been stopped.
Thank you for the game Rob123. Your hope was in winning with the cavalry on the flanks before the center collapses, but that was not meant to be.

Re: Any questions . . .
I think you need to use the filter buttons called Date and Geographical that appear underneath the list of armies when you are setting a game up. All match-ups are possible in FOG2.

Re: Tournament Diary and News . . .
Just 2 players now I have not opened their "welcome" PM and they may be non-starters - pompeytheflatulent and gioe07. I will start the process of chasing them today with a view to making any changes on Sunday evening. This season is actually 10 weeks and 6 days long so I can give them just a little more time than usual to make contact, but it is not fair to players who are trying to contact them to start matches to leave it beyond then.
In other news Macedonczyk has reached the final of the KO Tournament after defeating harveylh. He will play either klayeckles or Questar17 in the final.

Re: Tournament Diary and News . . .
Mairtin has withdrawn from the FOG2DL due to health reasons. This will affect the following divisions - Classical Antiquity E, Late Antiquity E, Early Middle Ages E and Biblical C. I will start trying to arrange replacements from the reserve list shortly.
