It is great to have a Hero. How about introducing Anti-Heros, individuals with a malus. You would have to assign them to one of your Units. For example, one Anti-Hero could be a "Coward": his Unit would have a high propensity to retreat from its Hex if it suffers damage. Or you could have a "Timid" Anti-Hero, who would be "unable" to approach too close to enemy Units.
In Multi-Player, it would be fun choosing which sort of Anti-Heros your Opponent would have to use!

That could actually be a really fun way to play!

It could be fun for a campaign too. Every scenario, you receive yet another one. There ought to be a better name than Anti-Hero.Horseman wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 8:16 pmuneducated wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 7:19 pm It is great to have a Hero. Re: SUGGESTION: Anti-Heros
How about giving heroes with negative traits that kinda same strengths of the positive?
You could have a double-attack hero that wastes ammo, or a no retaliation hero that also gives coward traits?
Or a famous one that also gives -1 attack when the unit is alone (no adjacent friendlies)...
I think some heroes are truly game-breaking, especially if you use them as a combo - well, this still won't prevent that, but maybe hold the "power train" back a bit.

Haha! That inverse "No Retaliation" Anti-Hero is hilarious! The "Famous" one could be "Infamous": he would increase the Core Slots for that unit, even doubling them! You could have one that was "Sluggish", with halved usual movement. Or "Scared of Heights", who receives a malus in mountainous or hilly terrain.Blade0 wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 8:56 am How about giving heroes with negative traits that kinda same strengths of the positive?

This man (or Lady) needs an award for one off the best ideas I've heard in a long time - could really tone down some of those OP hero's with a drawback assigned!Blade0 wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 8:56 am How about giving heroes with negative traits that kinda same strengths of the positive?
