Got New computer, but what files do I need to copy from old one?

Order of Battle is a series of operational WW2 games starting with the Pacific War and then on to Europe!

Got New computer, but what files do I need to copy from old one?

Post by bigorange »

Because the most recent patches don't display OOB in a viewable way on my old computer, I got a new one, and the graphics are great and my Steam account works fine. But my saved games didn't make it over. What sub-directory or sub-directories do I need to transfer from the old computer to the new one? Many thanks for any info you can provide.

If you're using PC/Win - both Steam and Slitherine versions of OOB normally use the Win mydocs/mygames folder, so if you want to copy saves watch out for:

yourlocaldrive\My_Docs\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2\SaveGames

You need to get them from your old machine to the similarly named folder of your new computer. This folder is created when you installed the game on your new machine.

If you just redid OOB from a Steam backup you may have to run the game once to get the folders created - still if the only loc for your older saves is your older computer you need to copy them over.
