Error Restoring troops

Post by Juansana »

Hello, why does it cost less to restore your own troops when there are no enemy troops in the immediate vicinity?
That doesn't make sense.

Because the game uses decimals/fractions that are not displayed. You only see the "whole" numbers. If an enemy is nearby/adjacent, you can only restore 2.0 HP, else more.

I know that. But why is the cost of a higher one when there's no enemy nearby?
It is not logical for me

Does the tank have the exact same amount of experience in both cases? Shows 4 stars each, but maybe he's higher numerically already?

As I'm neither the developer of this game nor have access to the source code, I can only give you my "version" of the logic involved:

Assumption: The HP's you see in-game are actually rounded up values (but the game's using more precise fractions internally)

Let's do a bit of math, shall we? Assume that health restoration works with HP=2.0 if enemy adjacent => from your screenshot 2HP = 45 RP. That means 1HP = 22.5 RP, right? The other screenshot says 58 RP. How much HP is that? Let's see: 58RP / 22.5 (RP/HP) =2.58 HP. Assuming that this was the full restoration to 10HP, it means that your unit had (10HP - 2.58HP=) 7.42HP to begin with.

So, the first repair restored your health to 9.42 actually - and not 10.0!

I give you that it's strange to have an unit with 7.4 HP showing up with "8" HP inside the game. But then again, I guess it's similar to the logic with some statistics: you can not have 1.3 people working on something, if you understand what I mean.

And please correct me if I'm wrong.

The values of the tank are the same in both cases, the German unit next to the tank was destroyed by the indicated support unit (value 7).
