Tough times in old Lusitania! Our original general eventually croaked at about 90. His replacement is an inspiring 0-0. I thought, hey, let's put someone else in his place. Doh! THEN I checked military power or whatever it is called: 0.63. Oiiii! Life has been too soft in western Spain!

How does military experience influence general quantity and quality? Getting it above 1.0 isn't too hard, but getting it above 4 is, and according to the tooltip thingy that's the point when bonuses start to kick in.

I suspect there is negative consequences when it drops below 1. This all just could be a combination of bad luck too. I can't say I remember if a couple leaders sitting in reserve died over the last few previous turns. It's just the first time I ever went to get a leader and there were none. :shock:

I don't know if specific details were ever posted. Here's what was mentioned in the Triumph update. I miss Sparta starting at something like 6!!! Am going to have to go back to the start and make a point of building a few military structures. I'd passed on walls and such thinking, well, I'll nab the next region(s) and won't need them. But...oiii...if this one dude bites the proverbial battle cookie...

Military buildings overhaul
- Military Expertise modifier appears if you have not enough or a lot of military buildings in your nation (comparison is made using sum of buildings tiers versus regions amount)
- Max Metal and Manpower have a cap partly based on Military Expertise
- In a province, each military building providing XP will give half its amount to capital region, within a limit of 25 XP and 2 extra levels.
- Rebate in building cost also given (at a 50%) from buildings in all regions of a province.
- Autogarrisons get bonus XP from the sum of military buildings tiers, either in their region or the full province (Stronger garrisons with proper structures).
