Forged in Battle Team Challenge 3rd & 4th October 2020

The first weekend in October will see Sarisbury Green host the 3rd Forged in Battle Team Challenge. We have capacity for a maximum of 10 teams of 3 players. Priority will be given to those who have attended previously but new players are also welcome. The themes are similar but slightly different to last year.

We are close to Southampton Airport for those coming from further afield and may be able to arrange lifts to and from the airport.

As before this will be a 3-player Team event, 1 player in each pool. Please email Pete Dalby at peterdalby1960@gmail.com if you wish to attend by the 31st July.

Rules to be used are V3. Figure Scale 15mm Specific Period/Theme options & restrictions are as follows:

Pool 1 Sticks and Stones – 850AP Table Size 60” x 40”

Any list, any date but the following troop types are not permitted – any Armour or Heavy Armour, Pikes, Lances or Elephants. Any list where one or more of these is mandatory may not be used.

Pool 2 Horsey Horsey – 900AP Table Size 72” x 48”

Any list, any date but armies must field at least 450 AP of Cavalry or Camelry, Bow, XB, or Bow*. NB – LH are not Cavalry. Cataphracts are not cavalry either.

Pool 3 Mounted Heavy Metal – 950 AP Table Size 60” x 40”

Any list, any date but armies must field at least 450 points of Mounted Heavily Armoured or Mounted Armoured Troops of which at least 250 points must be spent on Mounted HvA. Commanders do not count towards this total.

Army Lists must come from the new Books. Where your army of choice no longer appears in the new books we will accept old lists on a case by case basis.

We will offer 3 games on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. All games to be 3 hours.

Team Entry is £75 per team or £25 per individual.

Glad to see the old Worlds dates being used. We also run the 6th Ed WRG on the same weekend in Sutton in Ashfield. Go for it all you ancient players.

Sadly the new Govt rules on the group of 6 means that we are no longer able to proceed with this event.

Please pencil in the first weekend of October 2021 when hopefully the world will have returned to normal.

There is a Typo in the Libyan Egyptian allies list
The final line has a minimum of 8 bases of Libu or other javelinmen. But a minimum of 12 bases of MF before that
I am going to rule a minimum of 12 total with a minimum of 8 MF
