is there an option to export battles into FOG2 from empires multiplayer campaign? Both against npc's and regular players?

the phasing is nearly impossible to resolve.

and a turn could take a long time to run.

For eg, battle between 2 players occurs in the first impulse. They have to decide (both? just one?) to take to FoG2, fight and return. In the meantime (FoW) the other player(s) are completely unaware of why the turn processing is hung up. next impulse, another battle - same set of dynamics.

If you add in the ability to export player vs AI battles then a turn will just fragment as each impulse can't be resolved till everyone has seen it, made their choices, resolved their battles and then allow the next impulse (not game turn) to commence

In the current system, the turn runs when all the orders are in, all battles resolved etc. So it doesn't matter in which order the players pick up their turn or submit their orders as they all see exactly the same turn (subject to FoW).

It *might* become feasible in 1-1, you'd need a protocol to decide what to export and so on, but it still would be a lot of work. Worth remembering that FoG2 has its own limited campaign mode if all you want is a battle generator.

I was thinking along the 1-1 line, as in Total War. I realize it would be complicated and some work. But even the one player game with the possibility of having a human opponent would be good. Like the new Close Combat. My friend plays the campaign and I try to stop him wining it. I have not tried a Field of Glory Empires multi player game as I really am not keen on the generic combat. But I will give it a go to see how it runs. Then I will have a better feel for what can be done.
