 The history of Lauri Törni may be worth a event or maybe an apparition during the Lemetti scenario, maybe, or something else, or nothing at all  ... What do you think?

And later, as commander of "Detachment Törni", the reconnaissance company of the 12th Infantry Regiment during the Continuation War (!), he has had a bounty on his head by the Soviets... 8)

I believe Cool has rather definitively ruled out Finnish paratroopers during WWII. The earliest such unit was founded in 1960, I believe he said and I read someplace. So no Finnish paratroopers.

The thing about Lauri, I will look into. I am just finishing up 12Lemetti so I may be able to sneak him in if it makes sense.

VERDICT: Yes, he is worthy of a mention due to his extraordinary history and "During the battles at Lake Ladoga, Törni took part in the destruction of the encircled Soviet divisions in Lemetti." I will work him in but as a popup message only. No "Save Lauri from harm" secondary objectives. :) Thanks for the suggestion.

The men in question belonged to the Erillinen Pataljoona 4 (Detached Battalion 4). They were in essence Long-range recon patrol men. Like the posts in the link say "they were not proper parachute units, but trained to jump if necessary". Since there were only couple of combat jumps in 1944 with a total of seven men (and those ill-fated Estonians in 1942), I don't think they could be used in the way ColonelY suggests.

I don't think that could ever be your fate considering how valuable member of the forum you are. :D

Regarding Lauri Törni one of the many interesting facts is that the former Finnish president (1982-1994) Mauno Koivisto fought in Törni's unit in 1944.

I will probbly replace the campaign image with something more in the line of the other Finnish campaigns.

The issue with the 'fringe' campaign location name is known. This is caused by placing a core or flag in the center of the location marker (which I think is a nice way to display being on the defense). This was not an issue in pre v8.

Yes, it seems better but still a little too big.

Good size :

Pre v8.4.x to be precise, since it looks fine in 8.3.0.

Yep, I have reported it. But it is a very minor issue, so not on the top of the priority list.

For me it is not an issue. It’s just something to know.
From a computer point of view, if you superimpose two "sprites" it is normal that this poses problem for the sprite below.
In official campaigns, the emblem of the nation is never at the centre of selection, it seems to me.
If not how to do it when several nations that defend?
Arrows indicate the attacking nation, the defending nation has no arrows.

It is impossible to place all the defending nations at the centre of the selection:

Erik, have you done edits to Winter War 1940 yet? If not, then I would like to quickly go through that campaign for two minor updates:

1) Change all unit exit triggers to Turn Start rather than Move Event. My notes:

Unit Exit Timing

For unit exit triggers, set them for Turn Start rather than Move Event. The undeployment does not happen during the move but on the following Turn Start. The counter will not update in the following turn until another unit moves, so it's best to use Turn Start for this reason, too.

This procedure is for the triggers that track achieving/proactive scenario objectives. For objectives meant to prevent unit exits, these should already be set for Turn Start, Scenario turn limit.

2) Where I have been adding airfield/airstrip defences, I would like to throw +10 supply on a nearby hex just in case the Soviet land supply is razor thin. I don't want the AA guns to tip the supply balance over to orange.

That would then be version 1.1 which you could download from the beta thread (even though it's closed now). If you have already made edits, however, what I will do instead is post about my edits here so that you can replicate them in the official version if you wish.

I have not done any WW-40 editing.
It looks like v1,0 is still on the link in the first post in the beta thread.
