Easy way to gain experience for air force

Post by goose_2 »

I have not heard this discussed, but something I utilized liberally in my Africa Corps Double Rommel playthrough.

This is a quick painless way for gaining experience for your air force on some maps.

I utilized this to help gain 2 stars of experience on a super cheap Falco plane.

Strafing ground units is always a great way to gain experience for your air force, but did you know that when you find the enemies mines, your planes will hit them for 1 damage every single time they attack them. Even on cloudy days. They always hit them for 1 damage. So you can safely gain kills and experience on your low level planes at a no risk cost to you.

I have not seen this discussed so thought I would share this here.

Yeah, It's a nice trick, I do that too if there are mines in a scenario.
Basically always looking for some targets for my air - weak units, structures and of course mines.
Make love, not war.

Its not only good way to gain exp for planes but safe way to remove mines. Everytime you try disable mines you get permanent hit -1 to your forces (tanks, recon, infratry)... there is no way you avoid to lost -1 points even with luck. Only planes and arty can disable minefield wihout dmg. Im now in Yakovlevo... i take all my Pioniere but i better use planes bcz this cost me a lot.

Planes take more time though?

planes take a lot of time, but it gives them something to shoot at when waiting for planes to attack, especially on cloudy days. They more often then not miss ground targets, but never ever miss mines.

Planes (fighters) always hit by 1 (tested) but arty can hit even for 4+ or miss completly.
