I'll take that as a challenge then! From now on I will be recording the start and end turn of every pursuit!
Enjoy.
Oh, I have enjoyed it!
I have proof of a pursuit lasting from turn 14 (or even earlier) to turn 21. The pursuit ended on turn 22.
Expect an email with save files and screenshots soon.
Cheers
Paul
Actually, that isn't a bug, just poor previous information by me.
Routers only disperse after 5 turns if they are not being pursued. The chance of cavalry pursuing each turn after the initial puruit is 50%. Therefore the chance of a cavalry unit still pursuing after 5 non-initial routs is only 3%. After 7 less than 1%.
So this won't happen very often, and it is WAD. (Working As Designed)
It gives a small chance of epic pursuits as described on various historical occasions.
If anything it is lenient. At Edgehill the entire Royalist right wing pursued off the battlefield for 3 miles before
some of them were brought back under control.
