No sound
I have no sound. Completed several campaigns to date. I haven't changed anything, just out of the blue the sound stopped working. The game isn't quite the same without it.

Re: No sound
thanks, is this a standalone version or steam one?

Native Mode: 1920 x 1200(p) (59.950Hz)
Driver Attributes: Final Retail
Driver Date/Size: 26-9-2019 (old)
Sound Blaster Z
Date and Size: 13-8-2019 (again old)
Realtek High Definition Audio
Date and Size: 14-11-2017 very old and out of date
Drive: C:
Free Space: 73.3 GB
Total Space: 487.4 GB
error message from the report, system errors etc
Microsoft Corporation.AudioPlaybackDiagnostic.4.5
OriginWebHelperService.exe
no game ones
recommend, updating drivers and loading with a clean start, so only steam and AV drivers loaded on startup and retry
if that works, then something in the startup conflicts with the game, if not, it's a driver or system error but without a report on which or what, more information would be needed

Re: No sound
Try disabling your sound card and see if you get any sound coming through on your monitor speaker. If you do, it'll probably mean your sound cards to blame.
Re: No sound
good advice as always, you can also try your second sound device and see if that's supported / works better once updated as well, as SB cards are great, but drivers in windows 10 can be a bit hit and miss tbh, where as Realtek even almost 4 year old ones may work better
Re: No sound
The game has been working fine up until now, so I very, very much doubt the drivers are suddenly to blame. At any rate, the soundcard drivers are up to date, however odd that may seem. My issue is that win 10 and my sound card don't get along all that well and I have had some trouble getting everything to work in the past. However, at this point, the only time I get no sound is when playing the game. Everything else works fine.
Re: No sound
The sound works again. Haven't changed anything.
Weird.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback so far and if anybody can think of something that may conflict: let me know.
