From its official product page:
"Features
Regional decisions
Each nation will get a new set of tools to further his goals, with regional decisions:
. federate some barbarians,
. form up a new colony,
. force march an army
. prospect for natural resources
. … and many more
Impediments and Boons
The new campaign starts 2 centuries before the Empires campaign.
Numerous peripheral regions impediments and boons have been added. For instance:
. you might encounter Impenetrable Forests, Nauseous Swamps, or other hard environmental conditions
. Bandits
. you might be blessed in some select regions by a rich soil, an oasis or a sacred grove.
There are more than 80 Impediments and Boons
Special content
Major nations of this time have seen a ‘special’ focus. Don’t expect to play Persia as you play Athens or Lydia! Events, missions, national modifiers, special units and specific buildings will make you play differently. "

Love the game

The main thing I'd love is to be able to position my troops prior to the commencement of battles.

Also in MP when playing real time online I don't see why I need to click the forward arrow 3 x at different phases during the turn transition to keep the game moving forward. Surly I click end turn, opponent does same when he's ready and the rest happens automatically. Please fix !!

And a 3rd request : could the influence of decadence be adjusted -- say 3 setting. 1 as now, 2 50% less and 3 off completely ?

You will find lots of people complaining in the forums about this. An even better solution to what you suggested is just fix the auto-deployment/positioning of troops (like always position the highest ranged-attack unit on second row - this is very easy to fix).
