No Disband option after 8.4.1 update

Post by Navman2854 »

I went to disband units and the Disband option button has disappeared. Has anyone else seen this?

Mascarenhas

Please stop complaining about everything. It gets tiresome.

I would hope this does get fixed soon. There have been more than time in Red Steel that I’ve been hard pressed for RP to patch units to hold the line, like in Stalingrad, and I look at the POS Valentine tanks idle in my core and wished to heck I could disband them to get those few RP. Even a few RP can get you lots of cheap Soviet infantry replacements. I wound having virtually disband units and using cheat codes to add RP and record it to disband and adjust the RP later but that does rather detract from the experience. Seems like something that should have been caught in testing.

I think it was, if I remember one of the posts that Bruce shared from the beta thread mentioning some known "open" issues with the new UI correctly.
But I guess the release has been pushed forward due to, well, the quarantine for one, and, of course, because a new DLC was long overdue.

Disappointing but hardly surprising given the history of the product. Thanks to the testers for calling this out. It’s not your fault your reports were not acted upon. Hope we don’t have to wait 4 months for a fix like Endsieg.

regarding "No Disband" issue

I'd like to go on record that I consider that a high priority as well. I'm working on a campaign that depends on being able to advise players to cash in certain units as new ones become available. If "No Disband", the forces box becomes cluttered and hard to keep track of what units should be placed for the next scenario.

Also, this is a greater nuisance than two hossflies on a rowboat. Just to put it in perspective.

for what it's worth...

all my political, financial, and moral influence notwithstanding...

thanks

FWIW, I've seen this fixed, and will be in 8.4.2

Release of patch delayed slightly as developer is ill, and we're not taking any chances in the current environment!

Yikes! Yikes in terms of the following:
1) Singular noun "developer." Not sure who that is these days but I was under the impression that it was more than one person now.
2) Said person has displayed indications of being mortal. Is there a succession plan? Like a monarchy, things are shaky if there is no succession plan!

LOL, developer singular as only one is ill, but it's the lead programmer, so kinda important!
