Planes were originally higher, and way back when, strategic bombers were supposed to be higher still. Thats why we have the vertical coloured bar tethering them to the centre of the hex. So you could easily see which hex they belonged to.PoorOldSpike wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 4:10 pm Is there a hotkey I haven't heard about that lets us toggle air units on/off?

I never noticed the colour bars til you just mentioned them because they're almost too faint to see and serve no useful purpose anyway..Patrick Ward wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 5:07 pm..we have the vertical coloured bar tethering them to the centre of the hex. And if the vertical bars were stronger we'd get complaints about them being obnoxious.PoorOldSpike wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 5:33 pmI never noticed the colour bars til you just mentioned them because they're almost too faint to see and serve no useful purpose anyway..Patrick Ward wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 5:07 pm..we have the vertical coloured bar tethering them to the centre of the hex. What's needed is a new hotkey to get rid of the planes completely.
For example that Stuka is sitting smack on top of a tank, making it impossible to see what type of tank it is.
And sometimes its a bit tricky to select a ground unit if a planes sitting on it, as the mouse doesn't know if we want to select the plane or the ground unit.
I seem to remember some other games have a key to toggle planes on/off but sadly PC2 doesn't have such a key.
