Amphibious ops are still clumsy

My options are to escort troops and travel the same sea lane, but I have seen weird stuff happen.

Or I can combine stack, which may required tedious unbinding stacks, and I lose my general or admiral, since a stack may only have one.

The AGE system was a little better. The current EU4 systems with attaching armies to fleets is even better.

I do like the auto create of transport vessels.

* In never likes to work out weights and carrying capacity.

* Also, if it is peace time you have total navel superiority, it allows for rapid troop movement.

But I would like that escort or loading of troops onto a fleet to have a better UI.

Option #3: As Mahan wrote, your navy exists to crush your enemy's navy. Both King Philip II and Napoleon thought their armadas existed to escort an army across a channel. Send your navy out to destroy any enemy ships in the area. Gain sea control and then you can send your army out in safety. Your options sound clumsy for a reason.

The easy way is to maintain the two stacks on the same course, limiting the faster to the speed of the slower. It should not give odd results and is quite easy to manage.
