Hello everybody,

I am currently examining how we can integrate the Pacific campaign into the game. Unfortunately, it currently seems to me that the entry points are hard-coded. Am I correct in my assumption or are there other approaches?

It is difficult to answer your question as I am unsure how you plan to integrate the new campaign but the entry points can be manipulated, at least in the DLC's. I frequently will add an introductory scenario to the DLC if, for some reason, I cannot import my core. By editing the campaign file, this introductory scenario becomes the new entry point and the "next label" points to the original first scenario which now becomes the 2nd scenario. The DLC then continues as before.

This may not help you, depending on your end-goal, but it may give you an idea how to do a work-around.

Hi AK Rebel,

Here is "my vision" for consistency reason (we can only compare generals, if not we then compare State leaders between each others. Without doing politics, Hitler was the leader of Germany, only him can be compared to Stalin, not any German general).

But I understand why we remove Nazi leaders from the game.
So we compare generals.. Here we go:

Source:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commander ... viet_Union

USSR
Vatutin + Rokossovsky + Vassilievsky + Koniev + Joukov (the last two were in competition by Stalin in Berlin)

Allied
Leclerc (French) + Bradley + Patton + Montgomery + Einsenhower (in charge of DDay + future President)
I prefer this version with Leclerc, having a French helmet changes the look and Leclerc fought after the war in Vietnam.

OR

Bradley + Patton + Montgomery + EIsenhower + Marshall (Chief of Staff + Marshall Plan after the war and Nobel prize)

OR

Auchinleck (British General who won in El Alamein to reflect desert war in game) + Patton + Montgomery + EIsenhower + Marshall

Germany
Guderian + von Manstein + von Bock + Paulus + Rommel (potential leader of Germany had coup against Hitler been successful in 1944)

Anyway you will have a number of opinions equal to the number of individuals ;-)

Hi PHCAS,

Thx for the update! "Herr General" unit cannot be lost now!

Note: yesterday evening I played a scenario taking place in 1944.. I think that Soviet T34-85 turret is hardly recognizable compared to the original icon. Can you review this icon ?

Hi Robert CL, we are busy on the Soviet icons, upgrades will follow.

I want to say someting about the Generals. WW2 is a piece of history with good and bad people. We are no part of it and things happend how they happend. I think we have to follow history and put the figures on the place they where. If we start to replace historical figures because we think it was a bad guy we will become in a endless discussion.

I would like to report two small issues.

Polish capital ship Gryf can move over land. There are two exactly the same Lux militia units, with missing picture to the right(reported before).

Hello Atomiswave,

Thanks for your "issues"

-Polish capital ship Gryf can move over land. Error, fixed in update v0.42

-There are two exactly the same Lux militia units. Error, fixed in update v0.42

-Lux militia units with missing picture to the right(reported before). Now I finaly understand what you mean. The BIG picture is missing. Will be in update v0.42 but if you can not wait it is already here.

100% agree.

It was clear in my mind right from the start that 1st proposition of generals by AK Rebel is the most accurate from an historical standpoint (state leaders are compared with other state leaders). It should be kept by default since as you said, history is history, facts are facts (there is no politics here).
I just made some alternative proposals based on a request from AK Rebel just in case we only compare generals and not state leaders.
Just trying to help.
However I still think that Eisenhower was above Montgomery in the official ranking of Supreme Allied HQ, this is history and fact.

Barbarossa

Your scenario is top but map is huge so we have to get free days ;-)
I just regret the absence of famous Stuka units in your aux Luftwaffe units (even if you added aircrafts)
At turn 15 I feel I am doomed... I usually take my time to clear all units from my path before moving to VH.
I shall restart focusing on the move towards Leningrad.

6th 280mm Bruno Railgun: no movement and no attack value (like many railguns in the e-file)

Next scenario is the attack of Moscow where fresh troops from Siberia will join Stalin staying in the Kremlin ?

Hello Robert,

Thank you for your feedback on this. My last change is already integrated in update 0.41 and is now complete. Should there still be requests for changes from the fan community, I can optionally make them available. Thank you for your opinion.

If you play the Campaign from Poland on you will have 4 stuka's in your core units by Barbarossa. If you start the campaign with Barbarossa or play the single scenario you will have also 4 stuka's when you start.

At turn 15 I feel I am doomed... I usually take my time to clear all units from my path before moving to VH.

In version v0.41 the German forces are reinforced. You will have more power. Try again.

6th 280mm Bruno Railgun: no movement and no attack value (like many railguns in the e-file)
I will check this.

Next scenario is the attack of Moscow where fresh troops from Siberia will join Stalin staying in the Kremlin ?
Yes we will go into the snow. It will take a little time before I can start making this scenario. Busy with a lot of other things like making Japanese infantry now.

Hi PHCAS,

Happy you gave comments since the version I have is not the same the version you have.
If I load my campaign from Greece, apparently I come to an old Barbarossa version (without reinforced Luftwaffe and searchlights).

If I start a new 1941 campaign or use the standalone scenario then I see your Stukas and searchlights.
The Bruno railgun is not present in the new scenario and hopefully because in the e-file (no attack value and no image).
All your railguns with green cover have the same issue in the e-file.

I have reinstalled the mod without using 040a and 040b. Same issue.
I guess your deployment hexes in campaign are covering your new Luftwaffe units. Only this can explain why your Luftwaffe units and searchlights dissappear.
If you want I send you my saved game (last turn in Greece) in PM.

I understand why I can't win this scenario...
I would like to keep my core from Greece.
If not possible I shall start a new 1941 campaign, at least I could play your very last version of the scenario.

Maybe having a full version 042 (replacing all previous versions, so a big package) should be useful.

Thx for the great Japanese icons too!

Robert
