My serial number for FoG not accepted by Slitherine

When I try to go multiplayer in FoG II I get the error message 'Corrupt or invalid response from server." I took the serial number displayed in the game and tried registering it on the Slitherine site but got the message "Invalid Serial number."

I have screenshots of this. What do I do?
