Arab Conquest Jund Qs

Post by madcam2us »

Hello,

All other options for Jund Cavalry in Decline and Fall besides the one for Arab Conquest give the options to dismount them as Armored _quality per mounted version_

But in AC, they are ALL dismounted as Armored Superior, even those bought as Avg mounted.

This, obviously will be the option most take since it allows you to purchase HF, Armor, Sup, OS at 9 points/base from a list that normally doesn't give you that flexibility...

Was this an oversight?

If not, is there a reason for this historically?

That is a great get.
Hilton spotted it for the US Teams tourney.

Shouldn't your Ottomans record in your signature line be 3/1/1 or are using Chicago scoring?

They obviously are more comfortable fighting on foot than mounted (see also Anglo Danes who don't sit a horse well) and therefore Average, although you could field them as more proficient (Superior) mounted.

And cost exactly the same points if you take them (average) mounted or as (superior) spear on foot. But if you take them mounted you get smaller BG. But both are still only protected.

It is quite deliberate.

Mea culpa....

I went with what I was told and quickly read... For some reason even skimming this quickly I thought I read armored...

but there it is clear as day... HF, Sup, undrill, prot, OS

As for my Turks...I only played them 4 games at the team tournament not 5 - don't recall losing with them.

My bad Scott, I meant 3/0/1.
Did you and Ricky draw or do I owe you a custom painted battle group?

See you in Birmingham.

that's the thing. they're essentially a foot force who've acquired a cr@pload of horses, but still aren't so crash-hot on driving them.

the dismount as superior is just a gimme i'm sure as hell not complaining about. i take all 20 Jund in my AC.

14-6 to me.... Depends on how you declare a win... 2x enemy VPs works for me :D :D

But no, you don't owe me a BG. I couldn't squeak out the army.... Some gimp wasted a bunch of time arguing a minor point

That is closer than anyone else has come to breaking RJ's army in a competition.
Sorry to interupt the thread.
