Weekly round-up
A big upset in Division A where herm (Samnite) finished an impressive first season in the top flight with a victory over current leader Geffalrus (Macedonian) to leave harveylh (Roman) in the best position to take the championship this season. harveylh still has matches to complete against third-placed Nosy_Rat (Roman) and dkalenda (Achaemenid Persian). Nosy_Rat cannot overtake Geffalrus now as he lost their fixture together this season. Schweetness101 (Carthaginian) has won Division B after paulmcneil (Galatian) could only manage a tie with him in their match together. paulmcneil needs to beat batesmotel (Gallic) to secure second place and have a good chance of a discretionary promotion. At the bottom batesmotel, phoyle3290 (Macedonian) and Trogilus (Pergamene) are all still looking for their first points of the season with time running out now. In Division C another defeat for Bluefin (Italian Hill Tribes) means that he must beat fellow-struggler rs2excelsior (Pontic) to have any chance of avoiding relegation. All matches were completed in Division D last week.

Weekly round-up
A very busy week in Division A where 3 wins for nyczar (Scots-Irish) banished any relegation fears for this season. Another defeat for Schweetness101 (Kushan) means he is most likely now to be relegated, particularly as NikiforosFokas (Palmyran) recorded his first win of the season this week. Snugglebunnies (Byzantine) secured a very creditable second place with his seventh win. Only one result in Division B this week but it was a most important one in which desertedfox (Roman) secured a most emphatic win against lydianed (Sassanid) to replace him at the top of the table. Things are still incredibly tight though in a division where there has been an extremely high number of draws. Despite being top, desertedfox has only won 4 of his 8 matches and he can reach 26 points if he wins his last match against Questar17 (Gepid). Questar17 is currently in sixth place, but has 3 matches left and can reach 28 points, while third-placed Nijis (Hepthalite) can only get to 24 points. All the major issues have been decided in Divisions C and D.

Weekly round-up
A week of furious activity in Division A has left both harveylh (Andalusian) and Nosy_Rat (Byzantine) unbeaten in 8 matches with just their match together to be finished. harveylh has a 1 point advantage so just needs a draw, Nosy_Rat needs to win. Sennacherib (Frankish) has pipped Snugglebunnies (Khorasanian) for third place after beating late reserve Triarii (Spanish), who has rattled through his 9 matches in just 3 weeks. That's what I call a proper reserve! At the bottom NikiforosFokas (Abbasid) just needs 2 points from his last 3 matches to relegate Geffalrus (Indian Rajput). In Division B the relegation battle saw Challenge1 (Arab Umayyad) win a second match in a row to lift himself away from the threat of relegation completely. So now Questar17 (Byzantine) needs at least 2 points from his last match against Nijis (Spanish) to relegate IMC (Viking Ireland). Garokan (Arab Conquest) finished with a late flourish, including a win against previously unbeaten lunecastle (Anglo-Saxon), to move into second place. lunecastle now needs 6 points from his last 2 games to finish second. At the bottom remf220 (Norman) is relegated. In Division D Macedonczyk (Arab Conquest) won his eighth consecutive victory to win automatic promotion.

Weekly round-up
klayeckles (Kyrenean Greek) moved to the top of Division A this week, ahead of dkalenda (Assyrian). A lot will depend now on whether dkalenda is able to resume his matches because of the coronavirus situation in northern Italy. We will just have to wait and see. In an exciting finish to Division B, pompeytheflatulent (Median) beat nyczar (Spartan) in the promotion decider to take the automatic promotion place. nyczar is almost nailed on for a discretionary promotion as well. The situation is unchanged at the bottom where Mike Marchant (Assyrian) needs to win his last 2 matches to have any chance of avoiding the drop. Division C has slowed down a bit this week but there was a sixth win for lunecastle (Babylonian) which takes him to the top of the table for the first time. His closest challenger is now edb1815 (Cypriot). At the bottom there are still 3 players vying for the wooden spoon, Barrold713 (Urartian), iandavidsmith (Carthaginian) and kerrak (Assyrian).

Division C

Bluefin (Italian Hill Tribe) defeats rs2excelsior (Pontic) 60 - 18.

Not known for its resiliency, the hill tribe stood up to the pike as well as one brave unit preventing the Pontic mounted units from crossing a river. Thanks for the game.
