Can CEaW still not be shipped to the US?

Post by GroggyGrognard1973 »

I am very interested in buying this game for my PSP and I reside in the United States. I had read on an earlier post that the game on the PSP and DS could not be exported to the US.
Does anybody at Slitherine happen to know if this issue will be worked out soon with Sony? Or how soon us Yanks can place our orders for the game for our PSPs from you guys at Slitherine? :D

Any feedback and/or news would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you go to Ebay UK you'll find people that do it, but it's not something that Sony/MS are going to change their minds on. It's a core part of the their stategy. I know Triari bought his in that way and he is in the US. Maybe he can post you a link?

Correct! All you need to do is search for it on eBay UK, and it'll pop up. It took roughly 11 days for it to arrive, but I'm somewhat cheap and had it sent standard post.

I'll be blunt, because if the PSP and the DS are both giving consumers trouble, and all because of regionality.

"It's a core part of the their stategy."

This is the same company that marketed the PS3 and likely hasn't made a damn dime off of a single unit sold. And for what, so they could crush the hopes of HD format?

I have no respect for this concept of reginality. it's plain stupid, and that's not opinion it's fact. Want proof? Well we dedeicated consumers are the ONLY ones still waiting to play the game eh.

Sony and Nintendo and their brain dead 'strategy' have done NOTHING and I do mean NOTHING to prevent the less scrupulous from playing our game.

It's frustrating I tell you. If it isn't console games and regionality, it's PC games and worthless DRM.

I seriously don't think the big names in gaming give a damn really.

Just order the game from eBay UK already. ;) You will not regret it.

The region issue is a farce, I agree.

I looked up ebay UK and found 4 hits one of which indicated World Wide.

I know so little of using ebay though.

Might get my local ebay savvy buddy to look into it for me if I feel I have no other option.

Waiting for it to hit a local retail shelf is asking too much of my hick town though.

Well, on eBay there are items for bid (sale) and items for sale. MH: CEaW is one you'll just buy out-right, don't worry about trying to win a bid. You "buy now" it's yours. I bought mine from urbanangelmusic.

Look at it this way. I got my copy in 11 days from urbanangelmusic. Do you anticipate a North American distributor to be announced within 11 days and have copies available for you to purchase, that will arrive to your home - in 11 days?

I know you mentioned some reservations about using eBay, but it's a legitimate marketplace.

Come on, who's the DSWargamer here? WHO? WHO? Well, alright then, go out there and purchase!
