Absolutely love this game
Big thank you to the creators of this sequel. I can't believe how well designed the game play is and the improvements made over the first one. Home run for the producers, and I can't wait for them to create additional campaigns. IMHO, the Grand Campaign series made the first game one of the GOAT, and I hope they repeat that effort with this one. As for the graphics, that is fairly unimportant to me. I am one of the few that are experiencing overheating and am having trouble getting through scenarios without my computer shutting down. I will not be asking for a refund as some are, in fact, I will probably buy more than one copy when the overheating issue gets fixed, and if does not, I will be buying new computer components. Again, thank you to the producers.

Thanks for your post, and sorry about those problems with overheating, we are working on them. First patch should be ready today and will go out as soon as we can push it through the usual publishing procedure.

I want to add kudos for the game too. This is keeping me up late playing. That "one more turn" feeling is back. I'm 71 years old, a history grog and absolutely no fan of WW2 Germany, but the game is a blast to play.

It warms my heart to see a 71 year old having a blast with this game. I hope I get to live that long and still be playing games and having fun with it.

If you have had your graphics card a long while, consider finding a video on how to open it to remove the fluff bunnies from inside its heat sinks. Some tools like strong wire, a vaccuum, old toothbrush, good electronics screwdriver set (be careful not to break the heads of the flimsy, tiny screws if you remove them, and organize where you place them after removal.)TJLionheart wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 12:21 pm Big thank you to the creators of this sequel. You can greatly extend the life of your card this way. Also, hoover your room to remove the dust that goes into the card. Get some filtering mesh to cover your computer etc.

True. I have a fairly high-end 2-year old system with water cooling, and yet nonetheless my GPU (GeForce GTX 1080 Ti) fans soon are running at a high rpm when I play PC2.uneducated wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 2:08 pmIf you have had your graphics card a long while, consider finding a video on how to open it to remove the fluff bunnies from inside its heat sinks. This morning before I did anything else, I took my rig into the backyard, removed the side panels, and used a can of compressed air and a microfiber cloth to clean out my entire system. However, it still requires my graphics card to run the fans at a pretty high speed. If you've never done this before, you'll be in for a shock at how dusty it will be inside your desktop!

Um, I guess I'll wait on purchasing this then. I bought Totalwar Three Kingdoms and had to stop playing it, as it caused my computer to smell of burning, which can't be good. One thing I liked about PzC1 was that it "ran on a toaster". Handy if you are travelling and what something to pass the time on a laptop. This kind of game really doesn't need fancy graphics to enjoy - it's rather like chess, simple in representation and somewhat abstract. But I appreciate that aiming for a mass market, graphics are really important for the company. I don't know how much could be done in a future patch to have a "low graphics" mode for less state of the art computers.

Definitely wear a face mask when dusting out your computer. It is terrible to inhale that stuff. Even a tea towel would help.adiekmann wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 3:45 amTrue. The overheating issue was mentioned in the Beta testing. I think that there should not be such a high load on the GPU for providing what is essentially a static image. I have a feeling it might be in part due to the fluttering flag sprites, but there must be more to it than this. If you are on a laptop with no power, it is no good. Also, there ought to be a very low graphics setting where the 3D rendering does not take place.
