75 point army exiting city under siege
I have a 75 point Roman army exiting a city that is under siege from a 33 point Dalmatian force. There is 22 points of militia defending the city so I choose the "exit" command for the 75 point army to fight in the fields outside of the city. That is a disastrous choice as the 75 point army vanishes when I hit the End-Turn arrow! It either has disappeared into thin air or it is completely destroyed by the 33 point army without leaving a battle icon behind in the territory.

Re: 75 point army exiting city under siege
Re-loading the turn and stopping the exit command yields the following result...The 33 point Dalmatian force exits the Region and the 75 point Roman Army is reduced to 12 points. A siege icon is in the Region saying that the Dalmatian force "inflicted a lot of casualties on the defending army". I guess that it is the shoulder to shoulder defending a city penalty rule. ~shrug~ Seems a bit odd.

Was the region starving?

In a multiplayer game, I gave a very large army exit orders from a siege and it went "poof" as well. Happened only once though. The other times the game played out as it should.

The Leader in charge of that Army had died without me being aware of it. That's a pretty big leadership gap in that siege.
Re: 75 point army exiting city under siege
From the manual:
10.9.4. Outcome of the Siege Process
Each turn a random Die(10) is generated and added to the difference
between the attacker and defender siege capacity.135
If the net score is 4 or less then nothing happens unless the die roll
was a 10.
In that case, or if the score was between 5 and 9, a low amount of
attrition will be inflicted on the defender.
If the score was between 10 and 15 a high amount of attrition will
be inflicted on the defender.
If the score was 16 (the highest value possible), then the defenders
will surrender.
If the defenders did not surrender, another Die(10) is rolled and
if the modified value is 9 or more, a breach will be made in the walls
(this will reduce the defender’s siege value next turn or make it easier
for an assault to succeed). In this case, if the unmodified roll was a 10
then a breach will occur regardless of the modified score.
The pic shows a +5 for the siege army, so they must have rolled more than 5 and inflicted a high amount of attrition.
