German infantry camo missing

Post by Plaid »

Apparently its impossible to give German infantry default camo, which newly purchased units normally have.
It seems winter camo is missing too (e.g. infantry in tactical challenge "river panther" wears that camo, but impossible to set in the editor).

I'm having issues gettting the forum to allow more than one image per post .. ..

1. I can't reproduce this. I can change the camo of all infantry without problem.

The infantry on the left now has earlywar feldgrau. On the right the standard Splittermuster, the default for 1943 Grenadiers

2. No infantry in River Panther wear Winter camo. There is NO german infantry winter camo in the game. In the example below I've given them German IR Buntfarbenaufdruck, Hungarian Camo and British Desert Rats 02.

There IS a well known and highly reported issue when the infantry have a transport or pontoon attached. The texture of the transport is not displayed correctly. As seen here. We know about it.

As for setting camo patterns in the editor .. I hope a scenario designer can step in and help.

Point taken about no winter camo.

Thing is if you select newly purchased German infantry unit and open camo selection, there is no currently selected camo at all (nothing is highlighted by red square).
2 field grey variants and fallchirm blue which can be selected are very close to default "greenish grey", but slightly different.

Yes thats not ideal and is a result of some essential changes shortly before release. It does need to be addressed and I'll add it to the list.

Camo is as close to historical as we can reasonably be (with some exceptions for usability and variety) which means that some are only subtly different (German Field grey did change throughout the war - from the greenish grey to plain grey ). There are a lot of users who expect that level of detail.
