Feature of Bug

Post by Morbio »

I'm playing a MP game, but I think it's just me against the AI now, and I had an 'interesting' situation occur.

I'm Arverni and involved in an on-off war with Britonae, which is currently on. In the previous turn one of my fleets were isolated so I sent them into the marshland of Menapia (I had thought I'd sent them into a port, but this was a mistake by me). This turn a Britonae fleet enters Menapia and engaged my fleet and after a long battle my smaller fleet was overcome. No surprise there, as it was seriously outnumbered, but the bit that did surprise me is that the Britonae fleet conquered the reqion, despite there being a walled garrision and no battle was fought!

Is this a bug or a feature? I suspect the former!

Most certainly a bug indeed, I'll make a note on this issue. I would say that the garrison did not trigger as this was a naval battle and thus ... as the only units in the region were from the enemy, region captured!

I had that happen once playing as the Cheruscii. IIRC, the captured province was Suevus. Providing the info in case the bug is related to province data.
