Fantasy General II - Invasion is the reimagination of the strategy game classic from the 90s!
Armies once again draw battle-lines on the war-torn land of Keldonia, and a new generation of commanders will test their bravery and tactics against each other. Fantasy wargaming is back!
There I was, driving my panzers deep into the Western Desert in Panzer Corps 2 when I had an idle thought, "Gee, I wonder how Fantasy General 2 compares if I were to really dedicate myself to it?" I had dabbled with it after release.
After taking it slow and starting on the lowest difficulty I have progressed up and am now back at The Gap at a higher difficulty and nothing will stop me from playing.
My respect and admiration for this game grow as I trudge on. I am a veteran wargamer and this is the best experience I have had where all the mechanics really mean something. Everything matters: the march up, the deployment, reserves, who attacks and who defends, where and when, terrain, timing, cohesion and morale, experience, ranged, melee and standoff weapons It is the whole enchilada.
Her name is Ailsa, the Blind and she is a Shaman. I am purblind so, she is my muse.
Thanks for the kind words - it's great to see we are able to get experienced players excited...and we really did put a lot of thought into that, so we are happy to see it pay off.
