just checking to make sure I don't have a problem with my units.csv file

I was testing the various artillery equipment available while playing Blitzkrieg. I was looking thru the different threads about artillery in the game and came across one where players were using the sturmpanzer I at Dunkirk.

I cannot purchase a sturmpanzer I in the Blitzkrieg game so far, that includes Dunkirk from Belgium thru Dunkirk. I just finished Dunkirk and starting Fall Rot/5 Jun 1940 and no sturmpanzer I listed.

I tried to use the editor to get a date of when it might be available but trying different years in the editor, I receive the red X no mater what time frame I use in the editor.

in game....the only motorized arty after checking in game I can purchase is the Karl Great '40 at Belgium thru Fall Rot.

question: is the sturmpanzer I locked out of purchases in the game but can be used in the editor ?

Not locked out, it's available somewhere around 1943.
The player you mentioned was probably using a mod.

Thx for the hint, 43 is certainly too late. This will be moved forward to be available for France 40 in the next version.

Sturmpanzer wasn't even designed until 43, why would you get it in 1940?

Please don't move units to ahistorically early dates! A few months is one thing, this is years early!

edit: I removed the web site I added. there was books and what not for sale on it.

some more and same info on the vehicle picture shown in the editor as the sturmpanzer I can be googled.

my concern was....if my units file was corrupted. it is not.

the picture of the sturmpanzer I in the editor is and was the same vehicle used by Germany in France as well as other theaters of the war....this is what I thought the players in the thread I read were using. evidently it was.

at any rate, the vehicle in the picture should be made available in 1940.

Brummbär = Sturmpanzer IV not Sturmpanzer I

Sturmpanzer IV = German armoured infantry support gun based on the Panzer IV chassis.
Sturmpanzer I = a sIG 33 mounted on the chassis of the Panzer I Ausf. B

Yeah, NOW I remember the whole Brummbär / Sturmpanzer IV / Sturmpanzer I / Bison discussion a while back...

I guess I must have listened to the forum members then, because I've just checked, and the availability of the Sturmpanzer I was changed to 10/5/1940 in my mod already; it should be ready for Dunkirk.
