Could we have some form of in game tech tree reference?

The tech tree is well done and subtle, but unfortunately, it is not very well documented.

It would be great if there was some in game navigation facility!

Thanks!

That would be nice, the UI making of this scale is super time consuming and would probably tie us the whole team for too long.

Though I find the 'tool tips' to be sufficient, considering the randomness of what one gets per the tech choices; try this outstanding guide by Grognerd.

You may want to use this link

instead, because the PDF is from an earlier version. The PDF doesn't contain the description of World Wonders and Country and Ethnic Specific Structures.

You mean you don't want to sell something like 90-100 overpriced DLCs so that you can code it, and release the "Senate Extension" to Empires? It's sad that you learned nothing from your time with PDS! :) {joke}

As long as we are on the subject of thinly veiled comparisons, I want to say that the manual is excellent.

It is outrageous to make the customers document your product for you. It is, in fact, quite arrogant. Well, we all know the story of Icarus.

(Although this is the wrong forum, the same is true of FOG2.)

---

I have experience with TW and PDS games, and I am finding this quite refreshing. The linkage (but non-requirement) with FOG2 was a brilliant move. It allows one to avoid a certain "ennui" with either of the two games. Although the reviews comment on the lack of close integration, it's obvious why it must be as such. Also, if you negate clicking, the actual time to go from FOGE to FOG2 battlefield is less than the more tightly integrated TW games. (Getting to the battlefield in TW is enough time to read a whole chapter from SunTzu's Art of War.)
