Does signing a cooperation treaty break an alliance if one exists?

If so, I just massively screwed myself over. :(

This seems like something that could use a tooltip. 'Signing this treaty will break your alliance with X' or something like that.

I have been careful not to do the same. But I have been where it would be way to easy to do it. A Tool Tip is a very good idea.
