Hello,
For those who have had the chance to play the game on their PCs, do you know if it will be possible to change the game files (like, change the terrain textures, the UI images, the txt files for modding, etc, like in Panzer Corps 1)? Basically will all the gamefiles be encrypted in .res or whatever, or will they be accessible for modification?
Thanks for any information

The units.cvs file [equip file in PzC] is editable for modding.
Scenarios in the campaign can be modified.
The terrain and related movement, transport files can be modded.
The images and 3d models can probably be modded but no knows how, yet.

As he says. I personaly modified some scenarios, for example in Cause Blue, i added Hungarian, Romanian and Italians soo i can buy them as aux units. And in Norway south, Bluther ship is Sharnhorst class, instead of Admiral Hipper class, soo i corected it for me.

What do I know?... I'm just an 'Ignoramus' when it comes to 'Modding'.
But hey!... from my very limited perspective on this modding effort... why-not could there not just be an inventory of everything that you could possibly need to be available from some-kind of storage bank.
Then!...from that inventory... you should then be able to freely replace existing images with ease... or from scratch... create your own modding-creation.
Tools should also be available so that the 'Creator' can design some of the 'Fortification', land images and so on... so as to make this aspect of mod creation as simple as possible!.
Some "Fortification-Inspiration" for alternative fortification possibilities!:

The issue is 3D, images wouldn't do, 3D models are needed.Retributarr wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 9:30 pm ... you should then be able to freely replace existing images with ease...
The Dev have said almost nothing on modding, other than point to the editor and say "have at it'.
They are concentrating on the Game.
I assume after the release they will start putting out info for modding efforts.
I do not expect anything before March 19.
It is possible v1.0 will not have all the modding features they plan.

Slitherine has nothing against modders. What they will not abide is rude and abusive behavior from people who deride the work of others, including their fellow modders, to promote their own creations.
