A tournament playing mirrored historical battles?

Post by Chema_cagi »

Maybe it has been discussed already (sorry if that's the case). Would it be possible and/or interesting to create a tournament playing mirrored historical battles? (the Epic Battles and/or user created ones).

I'm sure many players love the force selection part of random battles, but I'm one of those that don't like it -I wouldn't dare to say at all- and prefer to play and recreate battles with an historical basis. Furthermore, with the tournament results it could be possible to create some simple statistics about battle balance and perhaps even to put a mark over well balanced historical battles.

Just my two cents. have my best regards all of you.

We have a little bit of this in the FOG2 Digital League. The Themed Event this season will use two of my own scenarios in paired matches for the semi-finals and final. But I tend to mix up skirmish mode and scenarios in the Themed Event rather than just using scenarios.
