Restricting deployment hexes
In a scenario, I want to make it so reinforcements can only be deployed at the landing zone. Any ideas how to do that?
Klinger, you're dumber than you look, and THAT boggles the MIND.

Re: Restricting deployment hexes
When you refer to reinforcements I am thinking you are referring to units a player can buy once you give them more landcp and or units the player can place because you have first placed them on the map then undeployed them so that they are shown in the units list or maybe its something else.
so then this has to do with deploying a unit. so then you simply click on the other button at the bottom left the START and then you will see the (deploy hex) thing so then you tell it which type of unit to be able to deploy this is done by checking the right type of deployment - (When you click on deploy hex - it will give you these options) you can choose land, air or naval. So then you will see 0 - 0 this allows you to select which turn you do this deployment then simply click ONLY ON THE LANDING ZONE HEX or HEXES and you will only be able to deploy there.
Now maybe you do not like for units to be deployed at VP areas after they are captured maybe this is your concern the trick to do here is make sure the VP areas are NOT a City, Village, or TOWN hex. If they are meaning if you put a VP flag on a hex that you have made a City Town or Village the deployment areas will automatically pop up after the flag goes up so simply DO NOT put these type of TERRAIN where the VP hexes are ....
Page 6 of the scenario manual gives you some info on Deployment hexes ... see below Here is a pic of what you see when ya click on the Star which is the OTHER Button at the Bottom Left of Scenario Editor notice the Deploy Hex choice ... Then this is what you see when you click on the TERRAIN Button you can then add or make any terrain a City, Town, or Villiage hex this automatically IF IT TOO has a VP flag on it - this automatically allows units to be depoyed IF landCP is available AND if units are or reinforcements are in the UNIT LIST or if in addition to LandCP being available resources ARE also available AND the player can BUY more units ..

Kinda annoying, because the VP will be in the middle of Shanghai, so it will look weird with dense buildings all around, then, suddenly, a big empty green park-looking thing.

Re: Restricting deployment hexes
Ok great so here is a VP placed on farmland terrain the Flag is up BUT deployments are NOT allowed ... why ... cause a City, Villiage, or Town hex is not at the VP hex. .... I have clicked on a tank and it is NOT allowing me to deploy it ...

Go for it !!! It will look Sexy ... !!!! Under the Decorations TAB or Button thing you can probably place hexes that LOOK similiar to a city and probably they will also NOT be deployable stand by for a pic ...Zekedia222 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 2:56 amThat is the answer I was looking for, thank yougunny wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 2:33 am Now maybe you do not like for units to be deployed at VP areas after they are captured maybe this is your concern the trick to do here is make sure the VP areas are NOT a City, Village, or TOWN hex. Ok under the Decorations tab these are two examples of other stuff ya can put down with a VP flag ... that will NOT generate the auto deploy ... probably anything under the Decorations Tab will work, again, here are just two examples You could probably put a road through them to give them more city appeal ...
