Weekly round-up
A very slow start in Division A has seen defending champion dkalenda (Kingdom of Soissons) take an early lead with 2 straight wins. Snugglebunnies (Byzantine) has also started with a win. Division B has all the makings of a very exciting competition with Cunningcairn (Roman) the early pacemaker, although he has been pegged back by second-placed desertedfox (Roman) in his last match. cromlechi (Scots-Irish) is third with 2 wins from 4 and there were winning starts for Karvon (Parthian), lydianed (Sassanid) and Nijis (Hepthalite). Newcomer ConstantinIX (Roman) has taken a firm grip on Division C already with 4 wins and a draw from 5 starts. I think he is going to take some catching, the best placed player currently to do that is General Shapur (Sassanid) who has 2 wins and a draw from 3 matches. Another newcomer, vvanttin (German Horse Tribes) is the early leader in Division D with 3 straight wins. GeneralKostas (Byzantine) and Macedonczyk (Jewish Revolt) have also made winning starts.

Another champion, this time Nosy_Rat (Byzantine), has made a flying start in defence of their title with 3 straight wins. Sennacherib (Frankish) also has 3 wins but this is from 6 starts. Division B has barely got going at all yet although Cunningcairn (Frankish) has started well with 2 straight wins. Newcomer pompeytheflatulent (Byzantine) heads Division C with 3 straight wins ahead of cromlechi (Welsh) who has won 2 of his 3 matches. Once again a Division D has seen furious action right from the outset and it is Doyley50 (Anglo-Danish) who has stormed to the top with 4 straight wins. grumpydaddy845 (Viking) also has 4 wins, but from 6 matches, and both Macedonczyk (Arab Conquest) and Swuul (Dailami) are in a good position to make a challenge for the top spot with 3 wins each to their name. Spacemonkey76 (Rus) has ended a 5 match losing streak with consecutive wins to move away from the bottom of the table.

Weekly round-up
harveylh aka "the camel thief" (Arab) is making the early running in Division A with 3 straight wins. The Biblical section is in its fourth season now and so far it has been won 3 times in a row by ianiow (now Syracusan) using the aforesaid Arab army. But it will not happen this season, although the Arab army may prevail again for a fourth time. In fact, ianiow has not recorded a result so far this season and he was last seen wandering about in the desert muttering to himself, "I'm sure that I left those damned camels here". In Division B batesmotel (Kyrenean) has started with 2 straight wins to head the table and pompeytheflatulent (Median) has recovered from an opening defeat to record 2 wins as well. lunecastle (Babylonian) has started strongly in Division C recording 3 straight wins, but it is baldrick52 who is currently top of the table having played 6 games in total. edb1815 (Cypriot) and blobka (Corinthian) both have 2 wins apiece in third and fourth places respectively.
