I'd like to use Free French in my campaign and in most Scenarios I have used them in human control.
However, in one scenario that I have not integrated them into the campaign, I want them to be under AI control.
QUESTION:
Is is possible to have a campaign with a faction both under Human Control and under AI Control? Or will it foul up the campaign and I'll have to fix it with a lot of trouble? If it's possible, will it still create problems having some under Human Control and some under AI control?
thanks,
conboy

Re: Campaign Factions
Why don't you use the regular French for AI control?
You can always borrow units from the Free French.

Re: Campaign Factions
Thanks for responding, Erik. I am using the Vichy French (as foes) also so really can't go that route.
All,
Just in general, in a campaign, can one use the same faction as a Human in one scenario, and as AI in another scenario? (as long as it's on the same team, of course)

Maybe you could play test this using just about 3 units on each faction see if the units carryover maybe one faction could be human but not core but it probably won't carry over you can have a core faction and a human controlled faction with the same color and side ... just set for example the germans to have the same color and be in the same TEAM I think this is possible from my shoddy recollection. Figure out how TEAMS work maybe ... maybe you could play test this by taking an already made campaign and getting rid of all the units in the first 3 scenarios except for a few then add other factions to see if it works or something

Re: Campaign Factions
I'm not absolutely sure that it works with a campaign (it does work with standalone scens), but I don't see why not. My guess is, that the game carries over the player's core units only and doesn't care about what nations/units are AI controlled.
But yeah, best to test it with a two-scen-mini-campaign or so.

Re: Campaign Factions
I agree with Gabe, I tend to think that it should work, but the only way to be sure in to test it. Said that, my advise would be to test before, just in case it doesn't work and you have to change your plane o bypass the problem somehow. For example you could create a second France faction with exactly the same flags to use it instead the first one (if you are creating a mod, which i don't recall, sorry)
But as I said, i would say that your initial plan should work without touching anything.
