Confirm subscription?

I got today the following message to my email box:



The "confirm" button leads to: https://visitor.constantcontact.com

Is this genuine? Smells like a really bad attempt at phishing. If not genuine, might it be time to move to https on Slitherine site, at least so that I wouldn't have to every time get the notification of the site being unprotected&potentially dangerous when I attempt to read the forums?

The answer seems to be this is somehow related to Slitherine beta process. Ie if you have at some point applied for a beta (I think I have applied for OOB beta at some point), but not been selected to be a tester, then these kind of messages are sent at some point.

Ie though it is (apparently) not phishing attempt, there is absolutely no need to "confirm" such a subscription, as there is no subscription to be confirmed. The wording of the message is extremely confusing (perhaps it was written by somebody who isn't that fluent in English, or perhaps the thought process was somehow interrupted).
