Is it possible to increase the speed?
I like both PyS and Sengoku, but I can't stand that the movement of the battles is so slow. Is there any way to increase speed?

SHIFT+Q will show the FPS that the game is running at. It may be that the framerate is too low, and you might need to lower some visual settings to improve it.

I think I have not been understood. Performance the game is going well. The problem is the slow way in which AI performs its movements. I would like to increase the speed as can be done in FOGII

There is a "Game Speed" option in the Settings menu, but I guess you have already got that at 100%.toska wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 6:56 pmpipfromslitherine wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 3:55 pm SHIFT+Q will show the FPS that the game is running at. Of course, within the code there is no way to accelerate yet more?

The engine used for P&S doesn't have the additional tweak options that the later version used in FoG2 etc does. Sorry.

Re: Is it possible to increase the speed?
If you look in the /data/squads.csv and open it in Excel or similar. Then you can change the speed column values by doubling all the numerical values it contains. This will make the animations of the units twice as fast.
Honestly I don't know if I could play it at the normal speed, it's more than twice the game for me when it is sped up.
Also I believe turnRate in that same document changes the turning speed in game too and could be helpful for speeding things up. I have changed it and it seemed to help but I haven't really tested that part yet.

Note that changes to the main squads file will break multiplayer games, if you are playing them.

Thank you very much, it is exactly what I wanted!
Re: Is it possible to increase the speed?
Hi! I doubled all the values, but this broke the game. I can launch it, but cannot start any battle. The error says "too many entries in an attrib".benzidrine wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 3:51 pm If you look in the /data/squads.csv and open it in Excel or similar. Any tips for fixing this?

Re: Is it possible to increase the speed?
Roll back to the original squads file and you should be good to go. My guess is that whatever saved the file has broken the formatting, if all you did was change some existing values.
