Game mode is in Iron Maiden mode after patch 4

I'm finding out that after installing Patch 4 my Campaign won't let me save or even fire and buy new units between battles.
Normally i save game at the attached screen shot, but the Save game button is grayed out.

I didn't start this campaign in Iron Maiden mode.
I can save the game all i want to during the next scenario/map, but would like to upgrade and replace some of my units.
I think this is a bug.

I started a new Campaign and made sure that the setting for Iron Maiden mode is "OFF".
Yet i encounter the same problem after unit deploy.

I cannot save game, the save button is grayed out and the mouse over text says "You can't save a game freely in Iron Maiden Mode".
Patch 4 is bugged.

This is definitely a bug and it does not happen to everyone. We will look into it.
Could you provide a version of your output log file and your saves to support@ownedbygravity.com, so we can take a look at what went wrong?
You may also try and use the current open beta version we created for another issue to see if that changes anything (can be found from the steam beta channel)

I'd like to add here that this tooltip "You can't save a game freely in Iron Maiden Mode." is also showing during deployment phase. Maybe this can be changed in the code to switch to another tooltip-text mentioning deployment.

However, I remember that IM mode also turned on once or twice when loading a game during a scenario. I can't really reproduce it so far what is totally fine by me as long as it doesn't stop me from playing on.
