failure to leave start menu

Have been running the game for 2 years with no issues. recently uploaded the zombie mod, played once and now i can't get the game to go past the start menu....i get a frozen screen, and hear the start music playing after I uninstalled and reloaded, and also deleted the options file and a bunch of "error' files.

Did you also post on the STEAM forum as Ulcomax? If not, you are not the only one having problems after downloading the Zombies mod. However, it is difficult to see why as it is just a normal mod (not a global mod), and other people have been playing with it without issues.

I am not sure why it should be necessary, but did you also delete the Zombies mod (FOG Z v1.0.2) from /Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2/Campaigns/ ?

If not I suggest you do this, and then reinstall the game, deleting options.txt while the game is uninstalled.

Note that deleting Options.txt while the game is running won't work, because the game will rewrite it when it closes.

thank you Richard... unfortunately nothing has worked. this is very troubling, i have deleted all files (individually, as well as the fOG file itself--don't see where there are any zombie files remaining) and uninstalled the game, and rebooted, then reloaded the game. when i hit play, i get the game menu but then the music comes on and there is no active screen. in the game file there is a pre error trace file and a pre error file and and two similar error files listed in the newly created fog folder file which i don't make any sense of when i open them. who do i send them to??
don't know where "ulcomax" is, or what it is. thank you!

I am not sure what to suggest next. It is unlikely that those error files will show anything useful as it appears the program has not actually crashed. Your best bet is to email support@slitherine.co.uk for further assistance.
